Depends how you define road riding I would say since my mum first let me out of the garden gate and ride to the end of my road.

Entered my first cx race when I was about 14, had a 16 hiatus, and started back again about 3 years ago.
Bmx:
17 years although as i haven’t touched my bmx for about 3 or 4 months make that not often enough!

Why bikes:
Bikes keep me happy
What type of bike got you into riding:
A shopper with hologram stickers added by my parents.
First memory of riding:
My dad teaching me to ride without stabalisers round the apple tree in the garden
When or how did you realise riding bikes was the path for you:
When I was young and mum let me ride to the end of the road on the aforementioned shopper and I realised it was a fantastic means of escape.
What do you get from riding or racing:
Amazing friendships, a hunger for more riding and racing and a hunger for food. I like food!

Because it hurts and it is amazing to see what you can get away with on the wrong kind of bike on the wrong kind of terrain

Not being able to ride them

I wouldn’t it suits me fine, when it gets on my tits i just go out for a pedal and get away from what is annoying me. I even manage to escape myself when i am doing my own head in (sometimes).

Watching racing makes me want to race.

Being able to do stiffbacked bowleggers.
