Greeted by more of the same!
What’s happened to the weather! I keep getting hit with the facebook app “photos of history” cleverly showing my pics uploaded 12 months ago! Lots of Brighton Big Dog 2009 dusty trails, and generally really great weather. Yesterday was a different storey. Sat in LondonBikeShow/Morvelo towers from Oli and I all you could hear at 4.50 and then every 2 minutes “Still raining? Still! Still really hard?”
I left the house in the AM sunny warm and looking like a really pleasant day so the usual Sprayaway coco trousers were at Home as was my KMP vittesse rain jacket. So I was still procrastination at 5.45 hoping the rain would take a break from flooding the roads of Brighton. No such luck. So I don my summer road kit with summer shoes, my only saving grace was I had my Morvelo Cap. (Which was as good as a pair of glasses at keeping the rain from my eyes). I was soaked in a matter of seconds!! Still I’m sure you can all relate to – Once you’re Wet you’re Wet and you forget. The final straw, in the last 5 month the bike has been ridden around 10 times a week, no incidents or mechanicals! So why oh WHY did my first road puncture of the year happen last night in the heaviest rain we have seen all summer. Grrr. Typical. Right its time to think winter wheels/tyres and possibly latex for the Road. FrazeKMP FrazerKMP
