When I was first running these I was sourcing them direct from Germany at a time when the exchange rate made shopping abroad an actual joy. I curse them for it as now I have a taste for these tyres that my wallet can’t afford. The triple compound of the Evolution model gives fast rolling speed care of the harder central rubber and give awesome cornering ina whole variety of conditions care of the softer edges. The large air volume give a smooth and comfortable ride too. A true tyre for all seasons if you like to fit and forget. Not as fast as summer tyres or as grippy in thick mud as winter specialists but these will see you through 90% of trail conditions.

But, and this hurts as much as the price, they are fragile! I have two of these tyres in my shed which look, and are, virtually unused but at now thanks to sidewall splits are left collecting dust. Its frustratingly, or a blessing, really. It’s such an awesome tyre and I’d thought I’d found my tyre for life but the fragility just makes it unusable for me anymore. Such as shame that it falls at this last hurdle as it’s a truly great all rounder.
