Review by Oli:

For someone who isn’t weight obsessed it comes as some contradiction that I hate carrying unnecessary baggage. There was a time that I’d be happily twiddling around the hills with a Camelback full of kit and a couple of adjustable spanners to remove the axle on my Z1 Duals. Now, time is in short supply and so my rides need to be focused and to the point. Quite often that means fast and out of necessity rather than desire. This is where the SV5 fits the bill perfectly.

Super light at 50g it can be stashed in the jersey pocket along with the other minimal essentials such as tube, gas cannister, tyre levers etc and not have the jersey scrape the rear wheel. Saggy rear pockets is another hate of mine. Some will stash this in a saddle bag and it fits the bill here fine too. Not only is it light but tiny too. Not so small you can’t get enough leverage for a ‘Get you home’ fix though. Sure, if your chain snaps you’re buggered but then cycling is all about taking risks isn’t it, and unless your name is Lea ‘Chain Snapper’ Denison who has seen off more chains than I’ve had punctures, I’d say you’ll be just fine. You won’t even know it’s there. As with all Lezyne products I’ve seen, the finish and functionality is excellent with the deal clincher being a lovely fabric tool wrap to keep it neat.

For those that hate fuss, keep it fast, keep it light, this is recommended.
