eek that bar is set pretty high
Well first outing for KMP in our new awesome team kit and on the outstandingly good looking km810 frames. What can I say, I think the results say it all 1st Men’s team 4, 1st mixed pair (V) and 2nd Men’s team 3.
It was a tuff muddy course with hard climes and a Steve Peat designed down hill, so the perfect introduction to the new frame.
The Maxlight KM810 isn’t just very very pretty it performed amazingly. It has a slightly more relaxed head angle to a typical race ready MTB, but because it has a zero stack headset it can be made as racy as you will ever need. For me this allows the perfect combination, a great handling not to twitchy race weapon, which can also used for ripping up the weekend trails. More to come on this beauty as I get to know her, we are planning the100 mile south downs challenge on Saturday so that should do the trick!.
The new Manitou R7 fork in my mind is the perfect partner for superb frame. They are super plush but not to wishy washy in the corners and lock out solid on the fly. Will let you know how they fair after 10hrs of riding on Saturday.
